Responsibilities:
• General chiropody and clinical podiatry.
• Podiatric care of elderly, bedridden or reduced-mobility patients, and of anticoagulated or immunosuppressed patients (specific precautions in chiropody).
• Detection and communication of warning signs (ischemia, infection, general deterioration) to the responsible physician / medical management of the service.
• Home care for the patient.
• Diagnosis and treatment of foot pathologies (dermatological, biomechanical, gait analysis and orthopodiatry).
• Education and guidance for the patient and family members on care and prevention habits.
• Management of the electronic health record.
• Preparation of periodic podiatry reports.
• Interdisciplinary coordination with physiotherapists, nursing staff and other healthcare professionals.
• Management of incidents and podiatric emergency situations.
• Responsible use and maintenance of medical supplies and podiatry instruments.
Essential requirements:
• Demonstrable minimum experience of 5 years in a clinical, hospital or home care environment.
• Podiatry degree in Spain and/or accredited degree, with current professional registration.
• Driver's license and own vehicle for travel.
• Valid work permit in Spain.
• Availability to work in Madrid.
Desirable
• Geriatric experience.
• Experience with diabetic foot.
• Languages.
